Poll - What are your stats?
I have:
15 Active Projects (Down in count after I combined some things for simplificaiton)
149 Next Actions
2 Waiting (don't use this feature)
1 Scheduled (don't use much)
3 Areas (2 for work, 1 for family/personal)
10 Someday
I'd be curious how many active tasks others have in different areas.
(BTW, you can turn on all of the counts in your settings area. Normally I have mine turned off).

What exactly are we trying to measure here?
My Projects will go up and down for the rest of my life.
My Next Actions will grow and shrink for the rest of my life.
This is true for every list.
The number of task/projects in each list has nothing to do with how productive someone is, so what are we measuring here?
:-)
I can share my numbers, but not sure what it's going to tell you.
Next Actions = 245
Projects = 61
Waiting = 6
Scheduled = 5
Someday = 20

There is no way to compare this stats because we come from diffrent walks of life.
I am lawyer and each one of my project is usually a case. Sometimes I will takcle a project in a day or two (out of court settlement) or it can take couple of years :X (court proceedings).
Mine:
Next Actions = 39
Projects = 63
Waiting = 45 (mostly clients)
Scheduled = 34 (tickler is very important tool)
Someday = 78 (used to have over 150, but transfered "to buy someday" to evernote because I like to have pictures to visualise this stuff"

@MarcinGTD
Exactly.
I guess it may be fun to see what others have, but it does not tell you much.

My thoughts in asking was more along the idea of Usability -- how many tasks are in play at any time.
I agree everyone defines tasks differently and comparing is not apples to oranges.

@rfo
Got it.
I could only imagine that someone with a crazy amount of task and projects would get a different user experience on several fronts.
I sure hope I don't get there myself. :-)
