Evernote now has note linking
I thought I'd pass this along--Evernote Windows version 4.4 (pre-release) now has note linking which means not only can you link notes inside EN, you can post the url(s) to your notes in Nrvana (and your calendar) and keep your reference material in EN.

Thanks for the update.
This will be a great way to link task to some reference material.

@Terminado,
so you're still here, after all! I was wondering if you had defected - or gotten lost while time traveling! :)
Thanks for the great info!

Had to come back from the future to let you know what lies ahead. Spoiler alert: N2 comes out of beta before the world ends.
:)

@Terminado
ROFL
So far the 3 people on this discussion are veterans that love making each other laugh.
It's like a mini reunion right here on the Nirvana Forums.
It's been a while Terminado. It's also been a while since Lasse gave me a mental evaluation.
:-)

I miss you guys. . .
I've been lurking here and also looking at other gtd options.
Right now, I'm using Evernote almost exclusively; I found a set up that works for me and I like having one app for everything (and everywhere). The mobile app isn't great for managing tasks and I use it mostly as an inbox. When I'm not near my computer (not very often) tags and saved searches work well enough. I can pull up a list for "today" or "next" or by Context.
I'm closely watching Nirvana and will probably get back on board. I'd like to see nested projects and, even more, given my current work flow, hierarchal tags.
You will see me around.

@Terminado,
"N2 comes out of beta before the world ends." I'm sure Elbert will be relieved to know. :-)
@Proximo,
"It's also been a while since Lasse gave me a mental evaluation." That's because I've decided you're a hopeless case! Ha ha! :-)
Yeah, it's always nice to come to the forums for a little friendly banter... :)

Just as an update. The latest stable release of Evernote has the link to note built in. Now, we just need Nirvana to recognize the links: The format is:
evernote:///view/2179215/s20/cd00af08-dd1a-42a0-94f0-d1495b68da29/cd00af08-dd1a-42a0-94f0-d1495b68da29/
So, if one pastes that link in a Text document, then Command-click on it, it takes us to Evernote.

Thanks for the update Alex. I have not tired this yet but it sounds like Nirvana needs to support the link format before it works

Yes, interesting that there was a OneNote conversation relative closely aligned to this topic, I did some research (using evernote) and came up with the following...
Rather than copy the images here, it amounts to FF & IE requesting approval for a browser to open a desktop app and security warnings.
Hope that helps.

Thanks David. Look forward to it. It would leverage the ease and simplicity of N2 as a GTD system with Evernote's powerful note keeping and storage tools.
Thanks, -Alex

I'm not sure if this is the most relevant topic for this (or most recent) but here goes:
Is there any update to getting Evernote Note Links readable in the body of our Nirvana notes? I see it has been on the table for a long time and it seems like a relatively straightforward way to implement Evernote integration until something more substantial can be mustered together.
Just asking for a heads up at this stage, as I've started to rely on Evernote quite a bit more of recent weeks.
Thanks!

There's no need for anything special to be able to link to Evernote. If you use the Evernote web app, you just copy the URL just as any other URL. That's what I do.

While teaching Nirvana to recognize an Evernote or OneNote link would be nice, it's not that big a deal. Shortcut keys make it easy to copy and paste an Evernote or OneNote URL from the task note field to the Windows Run dialog (Win-R). It might be just a tad quicker if Nirvanahq recognized the Evernote URL, but not by much.

If you prefer to do it the hard way :-)

Well, I would just prefer automatic recognition of URL schemes
