Mobile app bad?
Hi
I have been using Nirvana for a long time without ever trying out the mobile version. Why not? Because I got (from reading the forums) the impression that it was almost unusable at its current state. Yesterday I finally gave it a try. And really, I don´t see why it is so bad? I got all my updated lists in a view that is nicely formatted to fit my device and I can check off my completed tasks on the go. Maybe I´m just excited about it because I had 0 expectations, I don´t know.
Is their something technically troubling (like tasks not being synced etc.) with the mobile version that I should be aware of?

I, too, think it is quite good. I have never had any problems with it.
The only little things I can think of off-hand that should be improved at some stage are
But even as it stands today I think it is good enough, really.
I suspect the main reason why the native apps are so much looked forward to is because they are expected to be better for off-line use without a network

I think the Nirvana mobile web app is very good, and I've said it previously as well. I still wouldn't use it as if I lose a connection there is sometimes a delay as the web page refreshes if I'm offline. I hate that as I usually want immediate access to tasks on my mobile as I use it a lot.

The mobile web app is unusably slow in older phones (like my old Droid).
On my iPhone 4S it's snappy. However, there are still plenty of glitches (blurry screens, occasional lack of responsiveness to button push, hard to filter by tags, etc).

if you can get atomic browser on your iPhone give that a try. I use it on my iPad and all the issues I had using Nirvana in Safari are gone.

I agree with Diane - I've just recently got myself and iPad 2 and the mobile version is actually quite usable using Atomic.

What is the difference between using Atomic and Safari?

Atomic displays Nirvana perfectly and is responsive. Safari is blurred
sometimes and not as responsive. Give it a try.

Atomic also had (historically) tabbed browsing before safari and a host of other brilliant features, like being able to view full screen (hiding the URL bar etc) and its integration with Instapaper.
Not sure which of these features are still 'ahead' of safari, but I'm so used to it now I never use safari anymore.
