Hi

Relatively new to Nirvana and really new to posting on here. Just wanted to say hi really, I'm a HR Director for a nationwide UK retailer and after having learnt a bit about GTD was keen to develop an on line solution for myself - mainly for work but also for home and accessible 24/7. This change in system was kind of forced on me as my trusty Franklin Planner became a little unusable as Franklin Covey shut down their UK distribution of refills meaning that everything comes from the US with associated costs. Bizarre.

Anyhow, I initially found RTM which was working well for me but I felt it was a little clunky and not very elegant. Having read a post from Proximo about his conversion to Nirvana I followed suit and here I am.

I'm still learning how to really use GTD but this site and resource is really helping. I really like how simple Nirvana is and the recent changes are working really well for me. (Except I don't use 'Later' either). I've picked up the tip about creating a Chrome App short cut and that stays open on my work PC as much as Outlook does.

The only wrinkle for me is the Iphone/mobile app is a bit clunky and sometimes a little slow but when that App arrives I'm one happy camper!

Keep up the amazing work and I'll try my damnedest to contribute as a good beta participant!

    Karl... thanks very much for taking the time to introduce yourself and for your positive feedback. It keeps us going to update and improve Nirvana. We know the iPhone (and Android!) apps are HUGE for a lot of users... so we will be tackling those as soon as we can.

    Welcome!

    @Karl,

    Welcome to Nirvana.

    The community is made up of very sharp people who are always willing to help and discuss their opinions in a civil manner. ;-)

    Nirvana is a great GTD solution and I almost have my entire department converted to it. It's still in beta and improving all the time.

    We don't always agree on how something should work, but if you read enough discussions on the forum, you will find that we usually try to come up with a solution that works for everyone.

    Look forward to your comments in the future and don't be afraid to ask any questions you may have.

    P.S. I don't use "Later" either. :-)
