Backup solutions

Hi all,

I am one of 5 folks in a small business. We are in need of a new backup solution. We're currently backing up daily via Wondows Backup Tool and an external harddrive. I back up the data at around 4 PM and then take the external HD back home. Obviously there are problems such as losing the HD, corrupted backups, etc.

The ideal backup solution would have the following characteristics:
- Must backup to a hosted off-site/cloud-based server - Automatic and regular backups - Prefer that the program copies the whole file into the backup destination, i.e. I'd rather not have to use Windows Backup Tool and deal with the potential problems with data compression.

I did some research and thought Crashplan Pro would be ideal, but it turns out the cost would be prohibitive for us: $350 one time fee and a $26/monthy fee.

Does anyone have any suggestions of other backup utilities with the attributes I described?

Thanks!

Sorry to bump this, but I was still wondering about this.

    Thanks!

I can't help you much, and maybe not at all, but I will recommend an ebook called "Take Control of Mac OSX Backups".

Yes, it's Macintosh-centric and I know you're talking about Windows, but there is a lot of general purpose information that might be helpful.

    Anyway, check it out here.
