I know many of you have learned to get more organized with GTD and this usually translates into our work space. I thought it would be neat to show how GTD transformed my office. I only wish I had the before pictures when my office looked like a Texas Twister went through it.

This is my office as I use it every single day and nothing was cleaned for the purpose of the pictures.

The Left Monitor has Nirvana running and the Right monitor is my email. Yes, my email inbox is at Zero. :-)

Can anyone spot the Label Machine?

By the way, the second book from David Allen I purchased in e-book format and read it on my iPhone, I also purchased the first book in e-book format.

Forgive the quality of my iPhone camera.

Just thought I share.

WOW! That's amazing. Maybe there's another career lurking in there as a professional organizer. Any idea what your rates will be, or are you willing to take on a project or two pro bono?

My Office needs a good coat of paint, some more pictures on the wall and at least 2 more computers. :-)

    @James,

That button does not get used as often as I would like. :-)

My co-workers give me a hard time because my office is always neat and in order. This has everything to do with GTD because my personality traits prior to starting GTD was Popular Sanguine and Powerful Choleric.

Today I am Popular Sanguine, Powerful Choleric and Perfect Melancholy. Normally a Sanguine traits will not mesh well with Melancholy, but somehow it does for me. :-)

    Hi Proximo,

I see that you are using Lotus Notes as your email. Was wondering why you aren't using Eproductivity for GTD. I took a look at it and it seems to complicated for me.
    Thanks.

@Ellen I will be real honest here. One of the biggest features for me is to have a GTD system that lives in the Cloud where I can access it from anywhere to include my iPhone. I use GTD for everything in my life and not just work.

Now here is the honest part. I can't stand Lotus Notes, I hate it with a passion and have been trying to get our IT Department to stop using it for years.

I would rather use Gmail for enterprise than Lotus. Actually I would rather use anything than lotus but I don't have a choice at work.

    Hate it, Hate it.

Proximo thanks. I feel the same way. I'd like to be able to access GTD from anywhere. I guess I just assumed that anyone who uses Lotus might be using Eproductivity. Especially since the David Allen Co. seems to recommend it. For me the Cost outways the benefits.

    Proximo,

I was just watching a YouTube video of David Allen talking about his GTD office. I think yours actually looks better. ; -)

Maybe he should give you a call?

    Glenn,

We all have different things that work for us. David spends a lot more time on the road than I would but his office is extremely functional for him. I lean more on the technology side of things to build my GTD System, so I don't use things like a physical Tickler file. The important thing is that your office is setup for your Style of Getting Things Done. :-)
