How do you handle self-improvement things in Nirvana? Perhaps another way of describing this is daily reminders, such as "don't eat out more than once a week".

Not sure if Nirvana or GTD is well suited for Goal Management at the micro level.

You may want to try services geared toward goal tracking such as....

    http://42goals.com/

    http://www.joesgoals.com/

    http://www.goalhappy.com/

I currently use Goal Happy with my iPhone.

You can also try this new simple site that lets you create a daily check list of things you want to do daily.

    http://www.dailytodo.org

    Hope this helps.

For Nirvana to become the one and only GTD app they definitely need to integrate the higher levels of horizons as well, not just up to 20 000ft (AoF).

I'd like a way to keep track of my goals/visions/values as well and it would also be neat with some statistics over the progress in every different level/area/project.
During reviews, this could be a good wake up call if you're sliding off in some goal you've set or a motivator to keep you going if you see you're on the right track.

    +1 for this - eventually......

At the moment I have 'write a book' in someday/maybe along with 'fix the chimney flu'.

Writing a book is a life goal for me really but I can see promoting 'fix the chimney' to a live project within a much shorter period of time.

Nothing wrong with adding as much functionality related to GTD inside Nirvana.

I just want to remind everyone that GTD is not about having one application that does it all but a system of capturing and processing your information that works for you.

Yes, I would like to have as much as possible in one place, but there is nothing wrong with using other programs that do a better job at particular things.

Evernote is a good example. I think that it's an amazing capture tool, especially when I am out with my iPhone. Capturing things is part of GTD but I don't expect Nirvana to have the capturing features of Evernote.

I use the best tool for the job and Evernote is part of my GTD System.

Again, I think it would be great to add as much functionality as possible to Nirvana as long as it does not complicate the application. If we end up with something that has hundreds of bells and whistles, it may become another Toodledo which I would not appreciate. :-)

    Just saying.....
