AoR same as AoF?
Is AoF just another name for AoR?
Nirvana use Areas of Responsibility and this creates some ambiguity for me:
I have the usual Work, Personal, Family etc areas of responsibility.
In my head the word FOCUS is quite a lot different from the word RESPONSIBILITY - and this is my problem:
I'm getting in to blogging and it's certainly an area of focus for me now - i.e. I'm focussed on it and I will have several projects based around this area.
It's not, however, an area of responsibility - that is preserved for my work, my family etc....
What are you thoughts on this - in a nutshell it seems right that Blogging could be an AoF for me but not an AoR?
Or should I just stop analysing and regard them the same thing?
Cheers
Kenny

Yup. They're both the same thing. :) According to GTD that is.
David Allen uses the term: "Areas of Focus and Responsibility."

@Photon is correct.
David Allen uses the term interchangeably.
I must also add that you should not confuse the Areas of Focus that David Allen considers the 20,000 foot level of the "Horizons of Focus" with the feature in Nirvana called Areas of Responsibility.
Photon and I have a great discussion going on this and the feature needs to have a name change because Photon pointed out that it's confusing to people. I agree with Photon and look forward to a name change to prevent the confusion.
Nirvana is currently only designed to handle 10,000 foot and below. Yes, you can tweak and hack it to do 20,000 foot level controls, but it's not really designed specifically to handle it correctly.

Thanks guys - about to read the very long discussion you just mentioned Proximo, should give all the insight I need ;)

Yes, I agree that they are different. An area of focus is somewhere where you'd set goals. An area of responsibility is something you want to maintain.
