Mobile app blurry screens?

On my iPhone the latest mobile build seems good, on my iPad the first screen is fine but any subsequent screen eg Next is very blurry. If you select an item, it appears clearly and then when you return to the previous blurry screen it is now clearly displayed. Anyone else experienced the same?

Same issue here. I thought it was from the whiskey the night before celebrating the return of N2 to my iPhone! ;-)

I have the same issue. I took screen shots on my iPhone to post them here but I guess it's not needed.

I thought it was funny because the "Focus" list was in focus, while the Next list was not.

    ha.

I passed this along to Elbert - he'll take a look when he can - the wife has the iOS5 iPhone at the moment ;-)

Wait a moment -- I have iOS5 on the brain -- is this restricted to iOS5?

I have iOS4 on my iPod touch and didn't notice any blurring - so I sort of made the iOS5 assumption.

Maybe the tequila makes the blurring go away ;-)

    Let me know.

Yes presumably an iOS5 issue - the mobile app was fine until my iPad and iPhone were updated to iOS5. I'll have to try the tequila solution ;-)

The interesting thing is my iPhone seems fine, on the iPad Focus is slightly blurry, Next is a very scary sight (is there a message here, no way to predict what's coming next!)

OK - i thought so, but realized that was an assumption and I hate doing that.

Did a little research, found that this issue is hitting a number of applications -- there is one guy who thinks he has found the cause and has put out 2 pages with a clear/blurred comparison.

Anybody want to do a comparison test?

    [Blurry] http://sseeger.drivehq.com/test2.htm

Let me know how it turns out.

@ACV - did you do scrolling? -- I forgot to mention that touch scrolling is where the issue theoretically lies according to this guy -- he may be a genius or an idiot I don't know anything about him - but having the example for a trial was worth a shot.

    Thanks,

I did scroll through it and it was all clear. Sigh....

Same here, both clear even with scrolling.

Same here - both clear - there was however a slight difference in view in the scrolling. imho the second test scrolled more "smoothly " than the first test, but i am not sure whether that is indeed intended behaviour of the test.

OK -- either the guy's problem was not the same, the cause wasn't correctly identified, or his example pages just didn't work.

    We'll look into it further.

    Thanks for trying it out.

The Nirvana webapp on my iPhone 4 with iOS 5 looks OK (not blurrry).

The links you mentioned above are also both OK, although I agree with @Robmutsaars that the second link does scroll much more smoothly.

Maybe the blurry screens are only for iPad ?

@Geert - you could be correct (re: iPad only) - I don't know, but if someone with an iPad on iOS5 wnat's to give it a try that would be great -- I don't have an iPad (sigh) to try it with -- and others are enjoying themselves at a family gathering.

    Thanks,

@ACV above said he used an iPad with iOS5, I didn't but my test was also with an iPad (Version 1) with iOS5.

    @ACV

What I did worked just fine for me.

    Step 1.

Un-install Nirvana mobile browser bookmark or app shortcut.

    Step 2.

    Become productive again.

    :-)

If I have to fight something to make it work, it's not helping my goal of being productive. I know this is not an option for everyone but it sure is for me and it works great.

This is still a problem for me and is getting worse unfortunately.
Have a look at the attached image for what my focus list looks like.
    iPhone 3GS, iOS 5.0.1

Nothing seems to resolve it either, removing/adding app shortcut didn't work.
Any news on whether this is likely to be resolved soon?

    Thanks,
    Mark

@Mark S I too have the problem again (it was gone for a while!). I think you will find that if you select one of the items in the list, the item will be quite clear and then if you use Back to return to the list, it also will be clear - painful but at least it works.

Yes, iOS5 and safari seem to have a blurry text issue with a number of sites/apps
Interesting discussions, a few ideas for work-arounds, but I haven't seen any base cause or 'fix' mentioned anywhere in my somewhat limited search.

Here's a thread that may be of interest to some...

@ACV: what browser do you use?

Of course, all this won't matter much longer b/c of the upcoming iOS Nirvana mobile app... ;-)

    @David,

I have been using the mobile app extensively over the last few days due to the nature of my work and today I got the blurry screen for the first time (but it is intermittent) - IPhone 4 with iOS5 and Safari. Your two links both looked fine to me.

I also checked with my other iPhone browser (iCabMobile which is excellent by the way). The links also looked OK and the mobile app looks OK. Of course, not seeing the problem does not mean the problem is not there if it is an intermittent thing...
