Ordering tasks in Mobile site/native app temporary alternatives?
Is there any way to drag tasks around to re-order them (similar to the drag handles on the regular site)?
As an aside, it might be nice to create a paid beta for the native apps. I haven't even waited as long as many of the people here, and it's getting tiresome waiting for it. I found an app on Android (Any.do) that actually has Nirvana-quality GUI and simplicity, but I'm not sure how to transfer my tasks over, at least until there's a Native Nirvana mobile app.

The answer is no.
I asked this in April and in May it nearly got implemented in the last meaningful updates to the mobile site:

The annoying thing is that N1 has the functionality (if not well implemented) . So a backward step for those users when they are forced to N2..
The hope of course is the Android App - but the worry is that, as with the current mobile version, re-ordering lists is not included from day one. It's the same at Nozbe - their Android app left this differentiating functionality out and 8 months on its still not there (the app itself is very unreliable also - see Android market rating). I'd like to think that Nirvana will deliver a reliable app with this functionality in, but as we found in May, it can all not happen and be replaced by a cheery "Hang on in there".
No recent word on the Android App, though whenever its talked of it is something that only emerges after the iPhone app. Grit teeth, smile and be grateful I suppose. As you say "it's getting tiresome".

Thanks for the reply and for linking that discussion. It doesn't bode well that this was an issue all the way back in April. I also am a bit confused by the focus on iOS development over Android, since iOS has many alternatives, but so far Android really has none (i.e. task apps that have good UI design and robust PC or Mac platforms). Ah well...

Sorry, no temp alternative for you, but the plan is for app to have reordering. I was actually working on that tonight.

Thanks, I appreciate your reply, Mitchell. It's nice to see work is progressing on the apps. That reminds me of iOS UI design from my iPhone days (so that means it looks good)!
