Hi,

I just want to chime in and say that Nirvana--the regular site, not Mobile--works very well on the iPad. The only functionality I've found so far that doesn't work is the ability to drag tasks. You do have task movement available from the pulldown menu at the far right of each task, so that's something. But there is no equivalent to reordering tasks, so that's a no-go.

@Proximo -- not sure it's accurate to say "very few," even compared to brisk iPhone sales. Over 3M iPads sold in the first three months; one research firm has updated their prediction to 100M units sold by end of 2012. I have an iPhone; have an iPad on the way. Would love to have Nirvana work well on both.

Oh, and hello, community! Great app, great forums. Maybe I'll finally get organized...

Will buy my iPad this week-end. Just for the pleasure of using it with Nirvana, Elbert!

Use my iPad in the downtime, great time for arranging tasks and adding new ones and planning. So I would say a majority of my time would be orginising tasks on my iPad, using them on the PC and on iPhone out and about. So for me (and my collegues who work the same way) iPad is important tool in our task orginisation and in our personal lifes.

Would be great to have a dedicated app, but the site works well apart from a few funnies as listed (drag drop etc..)

Prioritizing is very difficult, lots of voices, all different. Great job so far guys.

Full web versions looks great on iPad only thing is when I Add to home screen the favicon does not come up. It does for the homepage and the mobile version but not the full web version.

Another Nirvana user here with an iPad. Plan on using it to manage my tasks with a Win7 laptop. Looking forward to some enhancements to Nirvana to make it easier to move and tag actions.

    Hi, another iPad user...
My cuestión is: When the Will be a native app for the iPhone and iPad?
And while waitting this: How to draganddrop tasks in the iPad?

    Thank you!

Well, there is no way to drag-and-drop tasks in iPad at the moment, sorry.
That is a limitation that is on Nirvana's to-do list to solve, but not a
    priority.

I now have a iPad and Nirvana is still very usable. And since I heard that
Elbert also has an iPad, I'm sure improvements are coming. Hold on...

I would also like to see an ipad app. I would like to see it a LOT. I simply need offline access because I don't have a connection everywhere I take the ipad, like the basement workshop. it's awesome to make task lists for building things. I could bring up nirvana and then go, but I couldn't check anything off or interact at all.

Would love an iPhone app too!

Drag and drop sounds very difficult for an iPad web app but perhaps reodering could be done an alternative way to make development simpler and help folks out who need to reorder.

I'd like to add a vote for an iPad app.

I really like Nirvana, but I can't really see it taking over as my go-to GTD system unless I could somehow use it offline from my iPad.

Nick: with the beta version of Nirvana 2, you CAN use it offline on your iPad, even tough you are still missing some features, like reordering tasks.

+1 for an iPad app to use offline. Apologies if I'm being dumb but I don't seem to be able to use the app offline. Surely it needs to load whilst online?

I love the drag and drop functionality of Nirvana, and it would be great to be able to do this on the iPad. I have tried Taska which is a little similar, but I far prefer Nirvana and would rather use it if possible.

    Hi all.

Can anyone explain why the drag-and-drop features do not work on the iPad? Is it a hardware issue or a software issue specific to Safari? I have tried other browsers, i.e. Skyfire, Terra, etc, but they all have the same problem as Safari, i.e. when you try to drag an item it drags the whole screen.

    Thanks!
    Mike

    Quick follow up.

I just downloaded an app called iSwifter, which allows for almost full integration of Flash on the iPad. It has drag-and-drop capabilities for other websites like Yahoo, Facebook, etc, but I get the "this browser is not supported" pop-up when I try to get into Nirvana 2.

It seems so promising that we could have a browser that allows for the full potential of Nirvana 2 on the iPad.

    problem solved:
just have "drag n drop" mode where, if toggled on, it only moves things around.

@Jeffrey - Is this a feature in Safari? Sorry, I don't know where to locate that toggle.

@Elbert I totally understand you guys are swamped with feature requests and everything is high priority. Since a native app is a ton of work, I just wanted to mention I'd be totally thrilled with an HTML5 iPad rendering of the site with JavaScript drag/drop instead. Especially if it still supported offline use. That's as good as a native app in my book!

It would also be great if you could sort tasks by contexts which I can seem to do on the Ipad. it looks the same as the desktop but when I tap on say call or errand it does nothing.

I also echo Mike to Jeffrey on not knowing about a toggle feature in Safari?

@jeffrey Can you explain how to enable toggle in safari. Also are you able to edit a task?

I got an iPad 3 days ago and still can't connect to my nirvana account. Mobile version works even with delays of 10-15 seconds to click items (!), while regular just freezes on startup.
I have a solid wifi connection and other websites are browsed normally, I think it has to do with the big size of my tasks and projects... maybe?
Really, the need for an app right now is critical!
