iPhone app / iPhone OS4
Just wanted to ask when can we expect the iPhone app to be released. As previous user of 2DO and mobile Things, I'm really missing a good, web-independent app - mobile internet access in Poland is still too expensive...
Another thing: I suppose you are planning to use the functionality of iPhone OS4, which would enable Nirvana app to directly modify iCal. Are you planning to publish the app earlier (under OS3) or wait for OS4 which, if I'm correct, is going to be released in Summer?
By the way - thanks a lot for recent invitation! :)

@donna
There is no native iPhone app version. Just a Web Application version that works on many smartphones

Personally i'm sad to see that the iphone app is only in prototype stage.
I also question the business logic behind this. I am certain that the lack of (non-web) iphone app will prevent people from committing to what otherwise looks like the leading GTD cloud contender.
A well-designed web app just doesn't cut it - anyone whose worked with something like RTM's mobile phone app wiil never accept anything without "task due" alerts.
(Moreover, as a rather disgruntled RTM user, i suspect vast hoards of RTM users will jump ship to nirvanahq once such an app is ready)

@Bill,
The iPhone app is important to the Nirvana Staff, but they are trying to focus all their energy on the core service and go live before they think of making a native iPhone app.
The native iPhone app is coming, but only after Nirvana goes live. I personally think this makes sense because the software can change direction during the beta process. I would not want to spend a lot of resources working on an iPhone app that will be changing all the time or possibly getting a complete overhaul.
Once Nirvana goes live and the developers are happy with the UI and features working as they should, then they could focus on an iPhone app that follows the finished foundation of the Web Application.
Just some thoughts.

That's true but you'll get more usage statistics from the iPhone app and truly be able to define what the core features must be after analyzing the usage. How many people really need the inbox? Let's find out... Etc...

@Joshua
Never thought about that. It's amazing how technology continues to change things. I could not imagine living without my iPhone anymore. :-)
