Nirvana mobile website: problem returning to main view

When I use Nirvana on my iPhone (Safari, iOS 4.3.5), there seems to be a problem returing to the main view.

E.g. I go to Next actions, I use a tag filter to filter my next actions. I look at them, sometimes mark them done, etc.

Then, I want to return to the main view (not sure how to call it - the page where you see your Inbox, Focus, Next, etc.). I tap the 'Back'-button on the top left of the screen and ... nothing happens.

The only way I can return to the main screen, is by reloading the page in Safari.

There's no consistency to this behavior - sometimes I can return to the main view, and sometimes I can't.

I've experienced similar behavior too. Also seems that using the iPhone for other than just viewing tasks, causes wonky behavior with some un-starred tasks becoming starred when booting up the webapp later.

Same thing happens when accessing via an Android phone.

    Same here. (droid here).

Frankly, the mobile web site was a good idea at first but now I don't even bother. The first refresh is slow enough. But to see that I need to refresh 2 or 3 times for the correct items to appear (and if so, I still often see items that aren't synchronized correctly). So, I just don't use it. Ad nauseum, what N2 needs is native mobile apps.

Me too - I no longer even bother with the mobile site. It is too slow, and there are weird issues with starred tasks. Things don't seem to synch well (Android phone here).

SIgh....yes....native mobile apps. And yet my plea for an update on things via the blog has not been addressed.

@David #plea: I don't even care about them writing on the blog at this point. This has happened before and basically sounds like Elbert is in the bunker finishing something. What that is, I don't know. I dearly hope(d) that it'd be the mobile app(s) but at this point I fear it might be simply the official release of -paid- N2. In the meantime, I am experimenting with a workflow where I use "@errand" type tasks in doit.im while N2 is used for @work projects/tasks in N2. For me, it's basically a race at this point: whoever gets my favorite missing features done first is where I end up. (N2: mobile apps; doit.im: mail to app and speedier web app (probably just requiring an amazon server in the US)).

    Hi Alex,

Me too....I have copied many tasks and projects into Doit.im. They have great mobile apps -- the Android and iPad apps are lightening fast and synch beautifully. Yes, the web app is slower than Nirvana, but not so bad for me. I am still here waiting to see what develops. I have and still do love Nirvana, but the lack of communication on progress is troubling to me. But perhaps any day now we have release of the commercial version with mobile apps! Who knows?

I just looked again at Doit.im - the web interface is desperately slow and clunky. Worse I can't see any way to sort tasks by hand the way I want. I think most of the software titles in this area do not allow sorting lists by hand. And of the 2 I know that do (Nirvana2 and Nozbe) neither has an Android app that follows through on that functionality and allows hand sorting on the (Andorid) mobile.

It seems the more feature rich the web app, the less likely you are to find a native mobile app. The two which do have decent native apps are Doit and Toodledo. Toodledo has no drag and drop function and looks like a spreadsheet, but there are lots of options if you can get past that. Doit is the closest to providing acceptable web and mobile apps IMO, but their web interface is still a bit too "webby" for me to use it full time just yet. I guess the people here want to provide a great web solution first and foremost and to be fair they've done that. Native mobiles are a must for me though so I am using other solutions right now.
