Hi there,
Make sure that your account settings are such that the email is being sent to the correct version of Nirvana.
Go to Account Settings -> Global Account Settings -> New Tasks Via Email
Hope that helps
Cheers
Chris

Which version of Nirvana are you using - Nirvana 1 or Nirvana 2?

Good question :-)
How can I tell what version I'm using?

Look at the upper left section just to the right of the Nirvana logo. It should say N2 build 221 if you are running Nirvana 2.
You also need to make sure you set your email to the correct version of the service you are currently using. If you are using Nirvana 1, I recommend you migrate over to Nirvana 2.

Hi,
I was using version 1 and I have now upgraded to version 2.
But I still have the e-mail problem.

Now you are on Version 2, ensure that the "New Task Via Email" setting is set to Nirvana 2 as indicated in my first post above and then any email sent to the Nirvana Email Address will appear in your inbox.

I am having the same trouble. I Bcc Nirvana frequently when responding to emails to add items to my task list, and it seems to me that items are less likely to appear in my list if I do that than if I send directly to Nirvana.
I have not analyzed the mistakes to determine if there is a strong correlation there, but that is my perception.
It is frustrating, obviously, to have to go back through my email sent items to determine which tasks appeared and which didn't.

I am on Nirvana 2, 221 as well, and have settings correctly set to Nirvana 2.

Hi,
I think that my settings are right, but no email

Hi there,
I'm afraid that BCC support isn't catered for in Nirvana 2 as yet, but it is coming (I believe!).
Hang in there! :-)

Chris is right.
Don't BCC your emails. I am sure this will be fixed in the future.

BCC functionality will be provided when we migrate to a new email server, but it is not supported at this time.
Other limitations, also to be removed in the future, are a 100k size limit, attachments are not supported, and if you are going to use languages such as Danish, Hebrew, Greek, Russian, etc. then your email client (Outlook, gmail, etc) needs to be set to send the emails in UTF-8 format.

Glad to see BCC functionality will be supported in the future. Is there an ETA on this as of yet?

I don't have a time-frame off-hand for you, sorry.
We're bringing another guy on part-time to do some of this type of server work for us, and it will be a priority task for him (yep, it bugs us too).
Thanks,
David

UTF-8 is a setting that one should be able to set in any mail application. I have it set in Thunderbird for instance. In the case of Thunderbird, just make sure that all referenced text, that is, the quoted text that is usually incorporated in "re:" type mails, is set to UTF-8 in the Thunderbird settings as well. Otherwise, all of the text after a "weird" sign, is excluded.

Perhaps I should post a new thread, but here goes:
When using the mail-to-inbox-feature, both task and note gets cut whenever I use scandinavian letters (ö,ä,å).
Födelsedag -> F
Bordsände -> Bords

@Alexander - refer to post 14 and 16 in this thread which is the current situation.
