Copy and paste from project notes into new task - withou having to go into project edit mode
Hi, I cut and paste the following prompts into each the project's notes to allow me to follow the natural planning model:
PURPOSE / PRINCIPLES
VISION / OUTCOME
BRAINSTORM
ORGANISE
Its a great way to work out what the series of next actions are, without having to create and juggle actions in Nirvana.
Once I have finished my project plan, i then need to create all the tasks listed under"organise" as proper Nirvana tasks.
But Nirvana doesnt allow copying and pasting from a project notes - without actually editing the project details, it would be much quicker to simply cut and paste from the project notes (in the project and tasks view) without having to actually edit the project notes..
Many thanks,
Derek.

Hi Derek,
Copying notes from Project and tasks is still not something you can do. With the new release, you can click anywhere on a task to drag it, this includes the notes field. So at the moment it's a technical issue... we will probably work on a fix so that this would be possible... I can't say when however.
That said, opening the projects and tasks in edit mode is quite quick now... simply double click anywhere on the project name bar or task bar to open them up into edit mode, from there you can quickly select all, copy and paste. Hope this helps.
thanks,
C

Also, we have a new feature in the works that will let you clone projects, including all of the tasks within (if you so choose). Release date TBD.

@Elbert
I am also setting up an "area of focus" with several projects that have different, but similar/related tasks.
How about the ability to copy individual (or even a Ctrl/Click group of) tasks as "task name - copy" , Dump them in Unassigned for editing, and later addition to a new project..
Regards
