Google Chrome Incompatibility

The entire left column is inactive in all chrome versions except stable. I imagine the Nirvana team is aware of this, given the "unsupported browser" message I got, but that doesn't make it any less annoying; this bug makes Nirvana completely unusable in my main browser (Chrome beta channel). I don't expect everything to be compatible with the dev build, but the beta channel is only updated about once a month. Would it be too much to ask for Chrome beta compatibility?

    no can do. alas, we have enough bugs of our own without chasing down workarounds for buggy browsers.

    perhaps you can create a desktop shortcut (standalone app) via the stable Chrome with www.nirvanahq.com/app as the default home page?

    Ah, well it was worth a shot. Hopefully this issue will work itself out in future builds of Chrome. But for now I guess it's back to Firefox.

    @Michael,

    I think you are expected to run into issues when running a beta browser as your main browser.

    I use only Chrome with Nirvana and it's great.

    Why don't you install the released versions of Chrome and simply create a web app for the Nirvana site. This way you can run Nirvana on a stable browser and use your experimental beta version for everything else.

    Just a thought.

    Nirvana is listening for mousedown events, rather than click events... you'd think Chrome would get that right in every release.

    I suggest for everyone to run the official release version and not the dev. version.

    I have no issues with Nirvana and Chrome. Chrome is one of the most used browsers by the Nirvana community and I think most are not having any issues with the official released version.

    I'm using the latest official chrome and I can't select anything on the left hand side. My version is 6.0.4... Hmmm very strange

    @AJ - have you installed any funky extensions? There a few our there, smoothscroll in particular, that breaks mousedown events, which in turn breaks Nirvana.

    Good to hear you are sticking around AJ. I use Chrome as well and love running Nirvana as a Web Application.
