Problem assigning actions to inactive/someday projects

When I assign an action to a project, I simply drag it to the project list on the left. This is excellent but cannot be done with inactive/someday projects since they don't show on the left. The only option is to use the "move to Project" menu on the right. However often times the menu is too large and drops off the screen at the bottom, especially if the action in question is located at the bottom of the screen. In this situation it simply is not possible to move an action to the inactive project, unless you first make the project active for a while and use drag-and-drop.

A good way to solve this issue would be to have Inactive Projects as a separate item on the left navigation pain, and allow collapse/expand on both Inactive and Somday Projects, i.e. it would be just like the Projetcts item, with a ">" icon that you can click to expand/collapse them.

On another note, I think in general that the action-menu on the right is not very user-friendly. It requires fine and careful mouse movements to do what you want. I would like to see all the options available in the menu also available when you open the action, i.e. if you open an action by clicking on it it you should have an option to move it to another project, which currently is not there.

    Very good points.

I agree that the action-menu is not great. I have to hover my mouse very carefully to make sure the correct sub-menu opens. I would like to see a change here myself.

As for Inactive Projects, I normally open my Projects and then add more task to them, but I see your point. If you have a single task that you want to move to the project, it could be a pain as you described.

I add actions to my projects when processing my Inbox and that's when drag-on-drop is very handy as I don't have the project open.
