Nirvana 2: re-ordering projects

firefox 3.6 linux

on a project page, trying to change the order of tasks by dragging - this works

on a project list page trying to re-order projects, but they just jump back to alphabetical order as soon as i drop them in their new position

    I guess this may be deliberate? Saw on the migration notes that Elbert himself isn't keen on the new alphabetical ordering, I agree - can we have an option to either sort alphabetically or order it oneself?

    I like the alphabetical sorting, but I can definitely see why others wouldn't. Having a button to click to resort the list alphabetically but otherwise allowing manual sorting would be keen.

    Agreed. Forced alphabetical sorting of projects made me switch back from 2.0 to 1.0. When you've got more than 20 or 30 active projects, being forced to view them alphabetically is really tough. I'd love options for sort by created date, modified date, or manually. I believe that this would still adhere to GTD, where you want your project reference materials alphabetized in their folders but not your project list.

    Thanks for working on such a great product Nirvana team. I'm Mac at home and PC at work so this bridges my worlds beautifully with one product.
