Nirvana 2 - clear completed?
Did I miss something in the disclaimer docs? I can't seem to find the archive completed button? And I am so damn productive (heh), it's getting clogged up with finished stuff.

nah, you didn't miss anything. we did.
click on logbook (left nav) and then you'll see a "collect completed items" button at the top. :-)

Thanks Elbert. Don't feel bad - you're not the only one working on a Sunday. :(

I have been manually dragging everything to the logbook

yes, we do make a distinction between completed-done, and completed-logged. though it's still a bit fuzzy in the UI. the intention is that you can leave completed items in view until you don't need to see them anymore, at which time you log them.
also, the logbook is the single biggest performance sucker in n2. we could, in theory, carry around your entire logbook (completed items history) on each sync, but you can imagine the network overhead. also, as we are processing all nirvana actions at the browser level now, rather than at the server, it's more (invisible) tasks for your browser to keep inspecting on each mouse click in your non-logbook views. some folks have complained that n2 is sluggish on their mobile devices, which makes sense as they generally have less horsepower. (though i gotta say, i think my iphone4 is faster than my laptop sometimes). in the future we will probably have a setting for how far back in time you want the logbook to display. at the moment it is 6 months back. if you cut that to say 30 days, the CPU overhead would probably go down a LOT.
there i go talking all geek shop again...

I would like an option like that for the logbook. I would make mine 60 days because I have a Monthly meeting that I must report all activities that took place. In many cases we are running a week or two behind, so I will need at least 60 days of logbook information to extract the activities I need for my report.

Have you considered having the ability to export the older data to a flat file or some other document which could be used for archiving. That way we could have a backup and search based on other capabilities within a PC without bogging down the application, also could the mobile device and desktop device have different storage settings?

@David - absolutely. It will live at https://account.nirvanahq.com/export with plenty of options, from human readable to structured output such as csv / json. soon soon soon...

And I forgot to mention, you'll also be able to view your history interactively with pagination etc, with all of the heavy lifting being done server-side like any other "normal" web site.

Maybe you could actively keep 30 or 60 days in the logbook, but have a button, similar to the sync button, that would allow you to retrieve 6 months or more.
