Integration (sync) with ToodleDo

Are there plans to add sync with ToodleDo? Not that I'm a big fan of ToodleDo, but I am a big fan of Appigo's ToDo iPad application (syncs w/ ToodleDo), which not only looks incredible but has great functionality (I was surprised - at myself - by how much a difference a great UI can make, and for users of ToodleDo, you probably know what I mean). But, I've been craving a great desktop application I can use when I'm not on the iPad, and Nirvana seems like a winner! So, I'm thinking that with Nirvana sync to ToodleDo, I can have the best of both worlds: Nirvana on desktop, and ToDo on iPad. Or, if there are other ways to accomplish the "same thing", I'd love to hear what others are doing. Thanks much.

I think it's best for Nirvana to sync. with Appigo's ToDo app.

Toodledo is not structured to any particular system and would be too difficult to manage a sync. into a nice organized GTD system such as Nirvana.

I actually threw up in my mouth a little when I first read your suggestion. :-) (kidding)

I do think that Appigo's ToDo is a great product and I already own it for my iPhone back when I used Toodledo.

Nirvana will eventually release their API and we must promote it to Appigo, so they will sync. to Nirvana. Now that Remember The Milk is no longer working with Appigo, they are probably looking for another great service to sync. with.

+1 for a sync with Todo. I've tried many different Todo apps for the iPhone and Appigo's Todo is definitely my favorite.

Being another convert from tooddledo and todo on iphone I'd love to use todo and sync to nirvana but I find it difficult to see how todo could work with a proper GTD solution such as Nirvana?

Todo doesn't have the buckets and workflow (does it?) - the best way to do GTD on Todo currently IMO is with Proximos setup when he used toodledo himself, but this is a hybrid solution and 'hacked' todo and toodledo to create the GTD buckets of project, next, waiting for etc.

The only iphone app that I know of that has a genuine GTD concept AND currently syncs to the cloud (toodledo) is Taska.....I would consider opening the API to these guys.

Then again seeing what you lads have done with the mobile site I'd probably want to wait for your own iphone app - as long as it's coming within the next 6 months? ;)

Edit: Edited to see if my gravatar image would appear.

I guess the best Smart Phone app to run Nirvana would be the native Nirvana app.

Seeing what the Nirvana boys have done with GTD in the cloud and more importantly what others haven't - my cynical side says we'd have to end up waiting anyway......no pressure lads!

Toodledo = Throw up in my mouth.

Nirvana is a full blown GTD service and would benefit from linking to something like Appigo's ToDo for mobile use.

I could not think of one reason I would have Nirvana sync with Toodledo.

    Sorry, just my opinion.

I honestly don't care about Toodeldoo, but the fact is, that it needs to be able to sync with some sort of IOS app. Having the app only exist within the cloud falls apart when you are offline.

    I agree.

Nirvana plans on making a native iPhone and Android app but they will release the API before that. I don't see why the API could not be used to link to a mobile app such as Appigo Todo.

My suggestion would be to release the API and let whomever builds the best app, get the business. After all, Todo is not cross mobile platform. If they were going to put their support behind a mobile application it should meet their standards for GTD and be cross platform. Have not really looked into GTD compliance but they are cross platform:

But as well, Nirvana mobile browser edition needs to be fixed in its shortcomings. After that, Nirvana could build their own.
