Adding tags to multiple items
Is it currently possible to add tags to multiple items at the same time? I tend to add tags in spurts and it can become time consuming to edit each task one at a time. It would also come in handy if you decided to change your tagging structure.
What would be really awesome is if we could grab multiple tasks
and drag them to the particular tag in the tag cloud and it would
automatically add that tag to each task. Along the same lines, if
we dragged tasks to unassigned it could remove all tags.

Not sure if I understand this completely, but are we saying that the tags would be different colors depending on what type they are?
If that's the case, I have no problems with it. What I don't like is having a bunch of tags on the UI and having to figure what the tags represent.
If we can place the tags in a slot colored area like the Areas of Focus do for each task, it would be easy to tell the difference. I would also like for the tags to be grouped together.
AoF tags first, Context Second and Misc. Third.
Is this what we are talking about here? Come on People, give me the INFO..... All I want is freaking Laser beams.

Sweet! Grouping, color codes, laser beams... My sharks and I will love it! :)
Someday - when all the major additions to Nirvana have been made - I'd like to be able to set the preferences to not display Areas in a task name. In fact, I'm not even sure I need to see any tags at all... Sometimes I find all this info to the right a bit too much.

@Lasse,
Good point.
If we get rid of the AoF and move to a tagging system like Elbert mentions. It may be easy enough to glance at the top of the screen and see the Area you have active.
Not sure how it will look so it's speculation at this point.
I do like showing my tags but I can imagine some people may have more tags than I use and having the preference of not showing them would clean things up.
