"Later"
What is "Later"?
To what extent does it differ from "Someday"?

@pnooren,
I put tape over my mouth when I read your question and I have tried to not say anything......
I CAN'T DO IT.....
The Later list is an abomination that will cause confusion for those who practice GTD.
It's a Procrastination list for Fortune Tellers.
OK,
Maybe I am being too harsh.
The Later list is something that some people feel is useful but most "GTD Purist" don't agree with. It's basically a "More Later List" because every Next Action in the Next list is a Later task if you are not currently working on it.
Wait, that is still confusing, let me try again.
It's a list where Actionable task are moved that are predicted to be ready for action in the future, which goes against the GTD concept of filtering your list based on Context, Time, Energy and Priority.
Instead of looking at what makes sense to do now, this list is for those who want to predict it's something that will be the right thing to do sometime in the future.
Wait, That's still confusing.
OK, I guess I can't explain it well, but let's just say it goes against GTD and I believe you will be able to hide it with a preference setting in the future. You know, like Later.
Just having fun with this people, don't get bent out of shape.
This however does prove my point that the "Later" list will confuse people who practice GTD and since Nirvana is a GTD Service, it just feels out of place.
@pnooren,
I understand why you are confused. You are probably thinking in GTD terms and the Later list simply does not fit the methodology. I honestly hope there is a preference to turn it off but I am very outspoken about not having it at all. :-(
For those who feel it's a good idea.... your awesome anyway. :-)

Thanks for your reply Proximo, it's clear.
I share your point of view that 'Later' does not align with the GTD methodology. I'm very curious what the developer's motivation for this function has been. Anyway, let's hope we can hide it soon.
best,
Pieter

... Until then, it serves as a reference file.
