Any news on the pending major upgrade?
Still have not heard anything....how about tossing us a carrot....any sense of when we might expect this major upgrade? The anticipation is killing me.... :)

As a fullmtime user of Nirvana I can only say that I am waiting too...

I have moved 'Nirvana update' from Someday to Later to Scheduled to Waiting and to Next. Can't wait until I move it to Today ! ; )

Same here - anxiously awaiting news! Sounds like this is going to be an awesome update. Can't wait until i can finally retire from Toodledo and move to Nirvana - just need to have recurring tasks be enabled.

Isn't there a way you can give us a rough idea of when we will have the update? Are we looking at a day, week, month, quarter, year? Communication is really the key to great service.

@smatlanta: I totally agree that communication is the key to great service. And that is one of the reasons why I think Nirvana is such a great product: Elbert, Christiane & Co really listen to us users and are willing to openly discuss their ideas and plans for Nirvana. With other products (RTM for example) you never get feedback on anything you post (even long before they had over a million users) and don't get the slightest hint about future improvements. That's why Nirvana is such a welcome change. As for release dates, even approximate ones, I think they're a recipe for misery. Obviously I'd love to know myself whether I can expect something this week or next month but getting the users' hopes up only to crush them because things don't work out as planned is usually worse than keeping them in the dark for a while. Having said this, if you look at the rate at which the devs have released updates in the past, I'm guessing we only have to wait a few more weeks at the most.

RTM makes improvements?

My previous post could have been a lot shorter had I stumbled upon this ten minutes ago: Accoring to Elbert it's only "1-2 weeks from now, at most" until the next update (posted yesterday). :-)

@Keith: :-) Well, you never know what the future holds... :)

@boonhean.low
I've made the move from toodledo already - great way to learn Nirvana too.
I've just kept my repeating tasks in toodledo for now until recurring is sorted in Nirvana.
Make the move now man, you know you want to! By the time recurring tasks are here you'll only have to move a fraction of your system over

Well, that's my point, Lasse. I disagree that communication of progress on updates is a bad thing. I think it's a great thing. I loved on the last update when there was a delay and we learned about why the delay took place. Some sort of monthly note would be great to just let us all know what is going on in "the family."

@smatlanta: I agree that regular communication about Nirvana's progress would be a good idea. Knowing what the devs are working on, what some of the challenges are and possibly why things are taking longer than one hopes for, makes waiting easier. I was only saying that giving estimates for release dates can backfire, since more often than not they need to be postponed (as was the case with the last estimates concerning Nirvana). Let's just hope that Elbert's latest guess is correct! :)
