Shouldn't tasks scheduled for today show up in the Focus list on the day that they are due?
As I have understood it, the purpose of the focus list is to put your focus on the tasks on which you should be focusing on. Seems reasonable enough. But when I have a task that is scheduled (and or due) for a certain date, shouldn't that task then automatically show up in the focus list with a red square just in front of it. At the moment, I see the red badge on the scheduled list, but I can not see the task in the focus list, which is where I think it should show up. It is in fact not scheduled anymore, it is something that I need to focus on. Now. If this is some sort of bug, then I'm on Firefox 4 on Windows Server 2008. Otherwise, I would like to hear the reasoning behind this behavior and if I'm the only who thinks that this is how things should work.

You're right Elurven - that is the correct behaviour. Tasks that are 'scheduled' for today appear in the focus list as normal, tasks that are 'due' today appear in the focus list with red box.
Can't help you with the strange behaviour you are experiencing though - sorry.

I have the same problem. I schedule a task for tomorrow, but it never shows up in any list except Scheduled.
That seems like a bug to me. Is there anyone for whom scheduled items appear in Next or Today?

Focus list that I see is really the David Allen concept of "contexts". Is there some other feature that this discussion is about? I think it ought to be re-named from Focus Area to Context since that is the official GTD term. Also Focus implies what you should be doing right now as your top priority.

@Elurven - your description is essentially correct.
"...At the moment, I see the red badge on the scheduled list, but I can not see the task in the focus list, which is where I think it should show up." This is true unless you've filtered your display in a manner that would exclude the display of the task in question. In that case the 'badge' count would show red, but the task itself would not show in the list
"It is in fact not scheduled anymore, it is something that I need to focus on." If a task that was Scheduled was dragged into the Next, Someday, etc., state, it will lose its scheduled status. Also, a Scheduled task can be unstarred manually after it's auto-star routine, and won't be re-starred automatically if you were to leave the app and come back
I'm not sure if those scenarios apply here or not -- let me know if you have any more questions.
