New items to Top of List
With all the great updates and changes lately, I was hoping there was a setting to make new items go to the top of the list instead of the bottom, but I haven't found anything. Is this item still being worked on or is it low priority? Thanks!

+100000
My lists are long, and this is one of the few iritating things in using Nirvana. Put in a task. Scroll to bottom of list. Open task. Add tags and schedule etc.
Would love instant access at the top of the list.

I can see the argument by some that when you are processing a task from your inbox, you would probably choose the correct list it would go to at that time.
BUT....
It would be very handy to have an option to add the task to the top of that list when you created it or processed it.
I also want my Netflix button for the Next list. The button that you pick to jump that task to the top of the list. :-)

+A LOT!!
This is my number one request at the moment and I think I have bumped this request in every discussion thread that I could find about it. I even started my own thread dedicated to this.
But sometimes you still want to add items at the bottom of a list. So to reiterate a previous suggestion "n" or "t" adds the item at the bottom and "N" or "T" adds the item at the top.
So please, pretty please, with sugar on top, implement this feature ;-)!

It's on the list, it will happen, it's not an immediate priority.
Bumping by different people is treated as a vote, bumping by the same person is treated as spam.

Maybe this REALLY is important to Elurven. I am very disappointed by the mindset that a user who is passionate about the program and really would like to have a certain thing implemented is treated as spam. You could just politely answer Elurven that this is the situation with regards to priorities at the moment and thank the person for their input. But I guess I am just old-fashioned.

Plus one for being kind and considerate on all fronts. :-)

Thank you, Kathie!

@David McLaughlin My intention was not in any way to spam you with a feature request that I have expressed interest in before. Like david-drake pointed out (thank you for that by the way :-)) I am merely very passionate about this issue since I deal with the lack of this feature on a daily basis. And since the discussion in this forum seems to center less and less around this feature and I have no way of knowing when and if this feature will be implemented, I decided to express my interest again when I saw that another user had started a new thread regarding this.
So I'm sorry if you feel that I was spamming you, but like I said. That was never my intention. I hate spam just as much as anyone else :-).

@elurven -- I apologize, you hit me a bad moment with the 'bumped this request in every discussion thread' comment because that is exactly what one person has been doing for the last couple days and my patience wore out a bit.
My intent is not to dampen your enthusiasm, I love it. But from this end we hear a lot of voices, everyone wanting to have their particular priority addressed first.
We make the calls as best we can, work as fast as we can on this project, within our commitments to client work, and we get just as frustrated as you because it's not as fast as any of us would like.
So when people ask over and over for the same thing, it hurts because we know you're enthusiastic and want to help us to be better -- and we can't do as much as we'd like. Sometimes it just builds up too much.
Sorry,
David

Elurven,
David is obviously referring to me with my 14+ posts on the issue of duplicate project entries. I was really only trying to help and since I NEVER received any response at all, I was just continually updating what I was finding in my research. That is what I do as a professor.
But no matter -- as I posted, I am leaving Nirvana and moving on. I apologize to you as I seem to be the reason he responded harshly to you.
Best wishes, Elurven -- I have always enjoyed your posts as well as all of the great people that posted on here.

David,
Not again!
Everyone just needs to relax. We are using Beta software which means it will have bumps, things may or may not get implemented along the way, etc.
We are all busy, stressed and working hard. It's OK to be human and get frustrated but it's even classier to apologize for it.
Nobody needs to leave or feel like a software application is not worth using if nobody is listening.
I am sure Nirvana is listening to all of us but they listen to many people all the time and they can't react to every comment or suggestion at once.
Let's all calm down and reserve some of the passion we have and give the Nirvana people some time to work everything out.
Nirvana has been getting better and better with time, so I feel we are going in the right direction. I am passionate about a lot of things as well, but sometimes I need to just relax and let some things go as we continue this journey to launch time.
David, you have been a great voice in the community with great suggestions. Would hate to loose you due to some frustrations. It's OK to get frustrated but don't let it drive you away.
I order you to stick around soldier. Don't make me come after you. :-)

Sorry, Proximo. I always thought you were the best, and I have truly loved working with Nirvana. But see how David responded to my posts on the duplicate projects. I really do not appreciate the attitude I have received from him. Yes, I left for a while, but only because I wanted to return to a paper system. I came back and joyously announced how much I missed Nirvana and received wonderful responses from colleagues like you.
My multiple posts on the duplicate projects were exactly as I described. Read through them -- I repeatedly asked for SOME response from David or Elbert, but did not receive anything. Only when I pointed out that it was somewhat rude to not post a response to someone who is passionate about Nirvana and have been here for a long time did I get a response. Look at David's response to me.
I am a professor and am in central administration at my university. I have a lot on my plate, but did my own research trying to ascertain why I was getting duplicate projects. I was not doing it because I am mean -- I was doing it to HELP. That is the bottom line. And for that, apparently I am a jerk.
So I am leaving permanently this time. I will send a private support request here soon to have my account deleted. I already have moved to a wonderful web-based system that has robust iPad and iPhone apps and their Android app is set to be released at the end of this month.
Proximo -- you are the best, my man. I indeed will miss you.

David,
I respect what ever decision you decide to make. Just wanted to let you know that you are valuable and will be missed.
I understand your frustration but Nirvana staff are also human and under stress from all our request. Deep down I think we don't mean to snap at each other but it happens and we need to let go sometimes.
I hope you found something that works for you and I wish you the best.

@david-drake. I really appreciate your support and I really hate to see you leave. And there is really no need for an apology. I have really enjoyed your posts in the forums. And like Proximo pointed out, you will be missed.
@David Apology accepted. Things get a bit hectic at times, something that I truly understand. So no feathers ruffled on my end at least.

Proximo and Elurven,
I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your kind words. It means a lot to me. I know my passion for Nirvana gets the better of me and I should not be so relentless with my posting. I do try to see things from the perspectives of others, and in reflection, can see how much of an annoyance I have been to David. For that, I do sincerely apologize to him personally. I hope he sees this -- I really do mean it.
The best thing for me to do is to limit my posts to a bare minimum -- this I will hasten to do. I will hover around here and see how Nirvana progresses, which I know it will beautifully. I will maintain my account. I hope this is acceptable.

Awesome news David Drake.
David McLaughlin is a cool hombre and has been instrumental in getting our suggestions to the rest of the Nirvana staff. We can all get stressed and frustrated but we need to leave room for understanding.
Let's all raise a glass of wine and have a toast to being human. :-)

Thanks, Proximo. And I REALLY liked your post on another thread about focusing more on GTD and not the tools. Nicely stated. We all fall into that trap in the digital world.
You are a wise fellow, my man. :)
Best wishes,
-David
