Print Formatting?
Any plans for print/report formatting other than what's there now, which is browser print?
I'm printing my Today list every day, whether I'm at my desk or on the road, and as I go through them, it would be a nice format adder to have a checkbox on the left, sort of like a bulleted list. Not a big deal, but it would be nice.

I don't print much but it would be nice to have some options.
+1

Glenn... you probably aren't the only one who is printing, so good suggestion. Have added it to our list.

+1 And then something i would really like is having the tasks split into contexts (tags).
In other words having a single sheet with multiple boxes, each of which contains specific context actions.
This way i would print the tasks in the morning, focus on the office ones while at work and then on the errands when in the car etc. without wasting paper.

+1, I use printed lists to keep track of things "offline" during the day. Much of my time is spent "unplugged" so I spend about 20-30 minutes a day updating my electronic manger (formerly google mail, calendar, and spreadsheet), print out an updated form the night before. When I wake up my day is set up, and I maintain focus on my goals for the day.
Kudos on Nirvana-- it fits my organizational style and desire to focus on context, projects, review, time, etc as needed. Where do I make a donation. Ready to subscribe once printing is supported.

I would also like to print tasks in a project, maybe to report or to explain
the project to someone else, or just to file in a paper file as a plan or
summary.

A significant portion of my GTD tasks involve external, offline work that requires a full list of things to do. Since the only thing I can do in some cases is to copy-paste the list, having the ability to expand lists and items with contextual linking, and THEN print them would be extremely helpful to me.
I'm seriously considering using this as a primary research and GTD list tool for writing, but the lack of export options is also somewhat irksome to me. I love the functionality as well, but again, meh.
Even adding a .RTF export would make it possible for people to download a copy of the list and/or use the text in other applications.

Export is in the works but I understand the importance and agree with you.

This is a nice idea that I agree with. Just giving some inspiration, but I really like the way Remember The Milk prints lists of tasks. Tasks are in a simple list, they have dots next to them for priority, they're sorted by due date, and there are square boxes to the left of every task so you can check them off. It's simple but useful.

+1 Printing tasks, contexts, and/or projects for offline work would be great. For example, I would like to be able to print the tasks I have that are tagged with the "Phone" tag/context so I can make my calls using the paper sheet. Then later I would check off the calls when I'm back online with Nirvana. Formatting can be simple.

Can we get an update from Elbert or Christiane on where this stands? This is important to me, and obviously to others too.

I print everyday as well, and would really appreciate some Love here ....

By the way, a rough solution that might help some is to install doPDF (or other print to PDF solution). Worst case you have a saved file with all your tasks included.

@Glenn
Where have you been?
I think the last time you posted was about 10 years ago and it was also a Printing request. LOL

@ Proximo,
I've been PRINTING, what else!
Just trying to keep my head above water and dropping in not very often, BUT using Nirvana every day. Still have a LONG way to go to get to your Jedi mastery level. : -)

@Glenn
Sometimes you need to act like a Sith in order to become a Jedi in GTD. :-)
