Copying Nirvana 1 tasks to Nirvana 2
Is it possible to recopy my Nirvana 1 tasks to Nirvana 2? I want to switch, but I have a lot of tasks in 1 that I don't have in 2. The reason for this is because I tried 2 and was a sissy about it, went back to the warm comforts of 1, but want to be adventurous and switch fully to 2 now without having to manually enter hundreds of tasks. Is there any way to remedy this?
Thanks so much,
Tyler

Tyler,
There is no way of doing this. This was one of the warnings displayed when you were moving to Nirvana 2. It's a one way trip.
Nirvana 2 will go live sometime soon and Nirvana 1 will be shut down. I think Nirvana Staff will probably have to help you out with this one.

When we go with N2 as the Nirvana, there will be an option -- for those who have used both N1 and N2 -- to chose which set of data they wish to retain.
If one wanted to keep N2 data, then the N1 data would just be removed. If someone wanted to 're-migrate' their N1 data to N2, the N2 data would be cleared and the N1 data reformatted for N2.
That option won't be available until we are ready to switch everyone over - but that won't be too long now.

Hi David,
Any idea what "not too long" means?
Kind regards,
Marius

@Marius - longer than short, and shorter than long -- sorry I couldn't resist ;-)
All I'll say is that getting everyone migrated from N1 to N2 is now on the top of the list after the last release.

Haha, you guys are more cryptic than Bob Dylan in his 20's. And that's
about the highest compliment I can bestow on anybody. ;)
Keep doing God's work,

Might have to bestow onto them Valve Time.

Maybe someone can create a Nirvana time page in the knowledge base...

David,
I'd been hesitant to switch from N1 to N2 because some of the functionality had been missing, such as email to Inbox. Honestly, I haven't really kept up with N2 progress, but if I migrate my data right now, is there any functionality missing from N2 vs. N1 that I need to be aware of?
Thanks.

Email-to-inbox has been available for a long time; perhaps you are thinking of the email ticklers (reminders) - which is still not in N2.
Other than that, I can't think of anything major in terms of functionality from N1 not in N2, and a lot of things are in N2 that are not in N1.

@roland:
Moving to N2 requires a data migration process as many of the data formats have changed. Your tasks and projects are "moved over" in that process
Please read this first, before you decide to migrate to N2:
http://help.nirvanahq.com/kb/site-updates/nirvana-2-preview
The migration link is in the FAQs section.
To use N2, you log in with your user name and password (not email address) at:
https://app.nirvanahq.com/
If you were using email tickers in N1, and you want to stop them, you'll need to log into your N1 account and go to your settings (click on your name in the top bar and select "Account Settings") to turn them off, as they will not reflect information from N2. Some people use both versions for a few days while testing N2, so we don't want to just stop them arbitrarily.
Also, you need to manually change the email-to-inbox to use N2 - this is done through your N2 account settings
https://account.nirvanahq.com/ and make sure it says: Create New Tasks in › Nirvana 2 -- if not click on the link to change it.
Thanks,
David
