Options for GUI color scheme
Are there any other color modes for graphic user interface available? Got my invitation few days ago - everything is great except one small thing which bothers me a little: I rally liked the way Nirvana looks on your "Getting Started Tutorial Video" - the actual look I get is more bright and less contrast. It would be easier to differentiate the tasks (again- for me, probably others don't have any problem with that).
thanks for listening

we'll be opening up nirvana for custom theming soon. i'm sure someone out there will create a retro theme to mimic our old look and feel.
easter egg: type ! to bring up a hidden dialog within nirvana. :-)

Awesome stuff Elbert.
It's funny but I like the current default theme the best. :-)
I hope future theme's will be just as easy to choose from as this.

OK, I'll be totally honest with you... I love the color scheme and font types/size of "Things". After some time with Nirvana I still can't get used to neither of implemented theme options... I'm sorry- that's just me. I know that would be the lowest priority issue on your to-do list, but designing theme #5 inspired by Things would make many of its ex-users happy... :-)

Once Themes are fully released for the community to create their own, I am sure someone would make a Things Theme.

I'm pretty sure someone will tackle that theme as well. Need to come up a with a good name for it, however.... "Thangs"?
;)

Until themes are available next year (phew!) wouldn't be feasible to add just a few serious fonts to the preferences combo box (Helvetica for example, perhaps also Lucida Grande), or even better and easier: an option to use browser's user-defined default font?
Themes will be great and eye-catchy, and certainly theme support costs development time, but basic typography affects page readability, usability and comfort, and IMO current font choices quite negatively impact on this otherwise superb app on certain setups.
Also, most browser zoom modes are quite coarse, and easily render the text too tiny or too large. That's why a font size selection preference would be loved so much :)

The low contrast of the toolbar across the top really bothers me (too?). Maybe it's a subtle hint to learn the keyboard shortcuts, but I find the low contrast downright distracting since I naturally try to read and parse it and it's just hard to see.

@Andrew
I don't know what your image is showing.
I can't make out the text.

I'm also finding the top bar buttons a strain on the eyes. And the favicon is quite low contrast, too - not so bad when it's just tabs in a browser, but I've made Nirvana a Chrome app shortcut in my taskbar, and at a quick glance it tends to blend in with the taskbar itself.

I cannot get Ebert's "!" easter egg to work. Has it been phased out? Does anyone know of any current easter eggs? If so, how are they triggered?
And, support for themes would be awesome. Can't wait for that!

Themes (or at least more options to customize) will be in the future at some point - don't have a timeframe for you.
Yes, I believe the ! option was only in N1 -- and not active there at this point - sorry.
