Suggestion for feature (Duplicate Project Entry)

Hi, I would like to suggest that you allow the duplication of a project entry with or without its task. For example I am constantly working on multiple projects at any given time (they are similar in nature but have varying start/end dates). They all have the same task list (meaning each project requires that I complete a certain 5 tasks) but are all at different stages of completion. It would be easy if I could make a project and then use it as a "master" to duplicate and then re-title based on the number of instances I have going on.

    I think, it's better if this feature it's not about duplicate existing project. Better is if I can define project template.

    Best example for this is "Business trip" with these items

    - book flight ticket
    - book hotel
    - visa
    - vaccinations
    etc.

    yea, that would be best as opposed to duplicating. I should thought duplicating would involve less complexity from a back end but being able to define a project template would really be something unique/powerful.

    Agreed...I do some property management and have leases, etc. that need renewed for various locations but on different dates, with different contacts, so separate projects with similar tasks would be very nice.

    Templates AND task-cloning (both great ideas) have been suggested and are either planned or under consideration.

    I agree with all this, but I would add one thing. Set up a project template and be able to set due dates for the tasks.

    ex: Business Trip Project
    Task:
    Schedule Flight - due 3 weeks prior to Scheduled Project
    Book Hotel - due 3 weeks prior to Scheduled Project

    This way with a project that I do once a month I can set up all the tasks one time, instead of re-entering data each time...
