I often have something that I do part of in the morning, and then need to remember to check again in the afternoon. I wish there was a way for me to schedule a time based delay (eg. 3hrs of delay, or tomorrow2pm). followupthen.com does this really well.

Any chance you guys could do that?

To remember to check your todo list is something you would be well advised to try to acquire as a habit, e.g to do a thorough morning review and a few quick scans during the day (as per GTD). This is a safer way, because it works even if you are too far away to notice what is happening in your computer. And it gives you a more complete picture of what your have to do than you can ever get from receiving isolated notifications. But if you are sitting at your computer and it is only a matter of remembering to switch views, then perhaps you will be able to use the Alarm feature that Nirvana plans to introduce soon. I imagine this will probably work with smart phones as well. But if the Alarm feature does not cover this, and if you cannot make it a reliable habit to check your list, then perhaps an alarm clock feature in your wrist watch or mobile phone can do the trick, unless you are in the swimming pool :-)

I think Nirvana should have time options for Scheduled and Due Date task.
