Extra Nirvana Email Address Functionality ( Tag / Project )

So I've just started using Nirvana as my sole GTD as a replacement to a hybrid system of my inbox and other products. Whilst investigating the functionality I noticed that for me there is something which I could use a lot which would be some extra functionality to the Nirvana email address, so that I could send tasks to projects or send tasks with tags?

Eg:

***@nirvanahq.com - Would send the task to my project of "holiday"
Subject: Buy some stuff
Body:
lots of stuff

or
***@nirvanahq.com
Subject: Buy some stuff
Body:
lots of stuff
[holiday]

Not sure, just throwing it out there?

Thanks for the hardwork Nirvana team :)

This topic has been discussed and some future enhancements are in the works for emails into Nirvana.

I agree that this would be a valuable feature.

Yes! We are totally on board with enhancing the email -> inbox feature so that some explicit formatting would result in tasks being sent to the project view/project and being tagged. thanks for posting.

    Hi all

Not sure if this is covered elsewhere, but is there a way of emailing a task with a date/time specified, to be automatically scheduled in the calendar?

eg. the subject line: go to market @17/09/10 7pm

To see a good example of the "Email a task to a specific Date" feature, you can check out GoodToDo. You can email a task to:
    - ***@goodtodo.com - ***@goodtodo.com - ***@goodtodo.com - etc.. that would be nice here!
    (besides... Nirvana looks wayyy better!)

I am not sure if it's possible, but I would rather add the triggers to the email subject and not have to deal with the actual address I am sending it too.

This will allow me to always select the same address which is a contact in Gmail but add the required triggers to the end of the subject.

    Example:

    ***@nirvanahq.com

    Subject: Create monthly report #computer t:20min e:med d:tomorrow a:work

    = tag

    t: = Time
    e: = Energy
    d: = Date
    a: = Area

I have no clue what triggers are best to use. This is simply an example of adding the trigger to the subject of the email and not have to mess with the email address.

I totally agree with Proximo on this one. This is something I am desperate for.

+1 from me, +1 to Proximo's version. I use mail-to-nirvana as my mobile inbox collector all the time, so I don't want to have to mess with the email address. It's a single click for me. But when I type the task out, throwing in a few tags or modifiers to have the thing sorted would be great.

I agree with Proximo that a single adress is plenty. I think triggers would
be great and they are in the works, as I understand it. However, I would
like to use the first line of the email, instead of the title, to describe
my task. But I will detail this in a different thread.

I concur that this feature is extremely worthwhile and look forwards to seeing progress in this area.
Some other cloud task managers allow one to specify a scheduled date/time in the subject line, plus such attributes as star rating (3*), labels/tags (#tag-name) and comments (in quotes "") to be added to a task - invaluable!

Great so far - keep up the good work.
    Many thanks,
    IanM
