Waiting For / Delegation
It would be great if the list of people we can assign tasks to could be filtered based on projects and/or areas of responsibility.
It does not make sense to have my work contacts for my errands around the house and vice versa.

+1 for having contacts filtered by Areas of Responsibility.
This could be implemented with the current contact list management area. Just add an option for what Areas it should show up in. This will allow some contacts to be in multiple areas.
Love the idea.

Is it, or will it be possible to filter by contact? It would be nice to see all the things I am waiting for in different projects that I've assigned to specific people/contacts.

+1 for this, it would mean that I dont have to use tags for agenda contexts, the requirement to assign more than one person to a task would also be very useful in this regard.
