Nirvana's App Store

Once the API is ready for showtime an App Store should be generated for developers to publish applications that extend and customize Nirvana beyond what it provides. I can imagine this working very similar to what Shopify App Store [1] or Google Apps Marketplace [2] works.

This would add an extra plus for people to use Nirvana and, if you give the chance, for entrepreneurs to build a business around your application. Plus it could extend your Business Plan to generate yet another way of income by charging a little commission from each paid application (like Apple Store does).

Said that, this is a really complex thing to implement but a great opportunity for both your business and users. Hope you like the idea.

Absolutely! We have internal design comps for an "Add-ons" section that would include both in-house and 3rd party...

    • themes
    • language packs
    • widgets
    • apps

I so wish we could move faster and get on this now.

I'm sure Gmail and Gcal add-ons would be very popular...
