projects and the someday list
Currently Nirvana lets you move tasks that aren't assigned to a project into the someday list. A task can also be moved from the someday list into a project. But I can't move that task back into the someday list. I would like to be able to move tasks from a project into the someday list
Second, and I think I would prefer this to the first suggestion, it would be nice if an entire project could be put in the someday list. When I do GTD on paper, I might have a project like "Learn to speak Mandarin" in my someday list, and may even have tasks associated with it. It would be nice to be able to make the entire project a someday/maybe list. I realize there is an "inactive" project option, and this need might be solved by allowing me to view only inactive projects as opposed to all projects (inactive & active).

I agree with you Travis.
I would also like the ability of moving an entire Project to the Someday list. A budget for a Project could be postponed and you don't know if you would get the funding down the road. You need the ability to move the entire project to the Someday list.
If you have a Project task that you realize is not needed to complete the Project but you would like to be reminded of it for the future just in case, you should be able to move it to the Someday list.
You should also be able to move a Someday task into a Project if it became Actionable.
You should NOT be able to add Someday task inside a Project because it goes against the GTD Methodology. You must have a 100% clear outcome for a Project to be completed and having Someday task in a Project would break this.
Just sharing my thoughts.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but a project can definitely be moved to the Someday list, and it's so easy to do that I feel I must be missing something, especially as @Proximo parroted the same statement.
Drag and drop a project to Someday, or choose "Move to Someday" in the project's menu dropdown. Is that not one of the things you want?

Interesting, I see that the Move to Someday works in the menu dropdown. I don't remember seeing that, so I must have missed it (unless it was added in today's update) and knowing that I can do that is sufficient. However, I don't know what you mean about dragging a project. Projects don't seem draggable to me. I can click and drag tasks, but not projects (I use Google Chrome for Linux).
Actually, this isn't fully true, the one place I can kind of click and drag projects is if I click on projects and then click and drag the project into someday. There is no visual indication that I am dragging the project, and Nirvana acts as if I clicked the project by opening it immediately before I even begin dragging, but the project does get dragged into the Someday list. Seems like a bug?
It's also a little odd to me that there is a separate "make project inactive" and "move to someday" where move to someday includes make project inactive, but making a project inactive does not include move to someday. It seems a little pointless/confusing to me to have a separate someday and inactive list, but maybe this is just me.
Back to the first point, the strange thing about moving tasks between someday list and project is that I can move a task from someday into a project, but not the other way around. If I change my mind about moving a someday task into a project, I can't undo it because of this. I agree with Proximo about not actually having someday tasks inside a project -- it would just be nice to be able to move tasks both ways in and out.

Indeed, you cannot drag a project from the project list in the left navigation bar to the Someday list in that same bar. But what you can do (in Firefox anyway) is open the project, seize its handle (to the left of its title) and then drag it to Someday.
Or, as you noticed, you can open the project list and then drag projects to Someday using their handle. But their is a little inconsistency here. Projects that have been dragged to Someday still appear in the projects list, under a separate heading (Projects/Someday) but you cannot drag them back to Projects from that view. If you want to make the project "live" again, you have to open the Someday list and drag it in Projects from there. Maybe this could be improved but it is probably a minor thing for most users, most of the time.

I had issues with dragging the Project from the Project list into Someday, but it's working fine now.
hmmm.
We can't drag from the Left Navi into the Someday list but I don't really care as long as dragging from the Project list works.
all is good.

Dragging from Projects/Someday to Next will move the project back to the regular projects list.

@haeffb
I did not know that. I was just choosing the menu list on the right to move it out of Someday.
Thanks
