Hiding tags from tag cloud
I noticed that the tag cloud shows tags from all items, even those archived. This is usually fine, but in some cases, one might want to hide tags that are attached ONLY to archived items.
For example, I had decided to change a few tag names and manually changed them in all items returned by selecting the tag-to-change in the cloud (since we don't have a feature to manage tags yet, although we heard it is coming). I was quite surprise to see that some of the old tag names disappeared from the list, whereas others remained. I finally found that the remaining tags were attached to archived items (which were not returned by selecting the tag in the cloud). Since I didn't want to use those tags anymore, I de-archived all items, deleted the tags and re-archived them (luckily, I still don't have too many items). Obviously, that would be an unrealistic solution in most cases.
I am sure other people will eventually come up with other reasons to hide "archived-only" tags from the tag cloud, so consideration should be given to the possibility of a toggle or option to show/hide archived items tags.
On the other hand, people might also want to see old tagged items, so we should maintain the option to show these archived-only tags. But then I guess this part of the question is somewhat related to the future implementation of archive search. At present, clicking an archived-only tag returns an empty list, which might be confusing but is not a priority problem, for sure.

Lasares, I had the same issue as you: some tags I do not use anymore are cluttering up the tagcloud because their associated tasks are still in the archive. As far as I know, there is no option to clear the archive, but this might do the trick:
use Nirvana's quick add feature to quickly fill up your inbox with a lot of fake tasks (do this by repeatedly pressing a random button, enter). Then mark each task as complete, and archive the whole thing. These fake tasks will bump out your old tasks with the obsolete tags from the archive.
Refresh the page and voilà: a clean tag cloud with only current tags.

It would be nice to have the OPTION to show or hide tags for archived items.
