The last post I can find on this is from November 2009.

I want to put Nirvana through it's paces, but I don't want to start a new system from scratch. Can I import at least partial data from OmniFocus?

    'Fraid not.

That may be addressed in the future, but at the present they are concentrating on core functionality.

I was in the same boat when I came over from Toodledo. Let copy and paste be your friend.

There are side benefits to being forced to manually move data over. On the one hand, there is never going to be a one-to-one correspondence between applications, so an import function will end up compromising. For instance, OmniFocus allows subprojects. Nirvana doesn't have that now (hope they do someday though). An import function may not handle that the way you would like.

Also, since you're touching all your tasks, you can treat it as a review. I found when I was doing this, it was almost like a cleansing. I did some rearranging, and removed some items from the Someday list that were languishing there (yeah, like I was ever going to climb Mt. Everest).

Good points. I'll use it during my next review.

    Thanks!
