Nirvana talked about implementing Ticklers which would be reminders. Not sure why it's not on the list.

Tickler is what David Allen calls a reminder in GTD. It Tickles you to get your attention.
Sounds stupid if you ask me, but it is what it is.
I am all for Reminders instead of a Tickler. :-)
