Auto Archive Completed Tasks
I find myself archiving my tasks soon after I complete them. So I got this neat GTD idea for keeping completed tasks out of your way. Basically, there would be a part of preferences for what to do with tasks, and you'd have a choice between these options:
1) Leave completed tasks unarchived (what Nirvana currently does by default).
2) Instantly archive completed tasks (the complete check boxes complete and archive tasks at the same time, leaving completed tasks completely out of your view, like in Remember The Milk).
3) Quickly archive completed tasks (this completes tasks and archives them only after you leave the screen, just like moving tasks between areas in some views, giving you a chance to see just-completed tasks and to undo accidental completions/archives). (I think this would make a great default behavior for Nirvana, too, and it is personally the option I would choose.)
4) Archive completed tasks on a schedule (completed tasks are left there, and are archived in a user-defined number of minutes, hours, or days).

Call me weird, but at the end of the day I like to marvel at my completed list of tasks for the day! :) It gives me the same feeling I would get, if I would write all my tasks in a notebook and then cross them out as I get done with them.
I know of others that like to zero out their task list and want to see it empty at the end of the day. That gives them a sense of accomplishment.
Its a personal choice and giving the option to the user to choose is probably best in this case.

Yes, I agree. While I would personally love option 3 for my own use, I think an option would be great, and I'm sure some users would still prefer not automatically archiving their tasks.

I agree that this is needed and should be a personal option.

For me the option 2 will be fine, but only if the archived task had the project, tags, area and due dates in the archived view, this help me to take control of my list of completed tasks.
