Selecting multiple tags should display all those with either tags, not both
First of all, let me say great job with holding down "Control" and selecting multiple tags. Having worked with javascript I still have no idea how you did this.
Anyways, so I was sitting in my dorm yesterday and I happened to have my phone and all my textbooks with me. Therefore, I held the "Control" key and selected the two tags "phone" and "textbooks". Much to my surprise, nothing came up because it was looking for things tagged phone AND textbooks. I was expecting phone OR textbooks.
Personally, I think it should be changed to the OR implementation, just because that's what people are going to expect. Does anyone agree or am I way out to lunch?

I agree that this should be tweaked as you described. I find that I don't use the control function much because of the type of work I do, but I agree that if you wanted to see task that relate to two tags, you should see all task that have either tag or a combination of both.
+1

Whoa! I didn't know about this ctrl-multi-tag-select function! Is this a recent development? Awesome!
However, I think it should be an OR function rather than AND.

I think both should be possible. Sometimes I want to see all tasks with any of the selected tags (for example either "computer" OR "phone"), and sometimes I want to see only those tasks that are tagged with all of my selected tags (for example "computer" and "niki" for tasks that I can only get done at a pc AND with my colleague, like "plan next week"). Maybe ctrl could be for AND and ctrl-shift could be for OR...

Smart List would be helpful here, but I think we need a quick on the fly way to filter context with the AND/OR functions.

I want to add a belated +1 (I was going to submit this, but found this myself). I too would like to see this change. If it had to be one or the other, OR would be much preferable to AND. I can't think of many use cases for AND, but I frequently want to see my @computer and @phone tasks all together, for example.
An alternate approach would be to allow a custom view or filter that lets me include or exclude certain tags.
