Special Character Escaping in Quick Add Task

I would really like it if you could escape (type an alternative to) characters that Nirvana uses in adding tasks without the dialog box. For example, I frequently add math homework to Nirvana by typing "Math wkst #1-10" in quick add, but Nirvana thinks I want a task called "Math wkst" with the tag "1-10" instead (# is for tags). I'd really like it if I could type something like "Math wkst /#1-10" to escape that symbol, or configure the symbols in my preferences (which would be more complicated, of course).
