I missed that feature in N1 where you can select multiple tasks
(and I think projects too)
and then hit the delete key.
My suggestion is to bring it back, but instead of another check
box, which might
get confusing, have it so the part of the task where you grab it to
move it gets changed
to a different color, ie, red. In other words, so the 8 dots could
change to eight red
dots. So now you don't lose any real estate or have to take up
space with another
figure. Then have a edit key at the top similar to n1 next to the
"new task" button.
Anyone else miss the bulk delete? And bulk drag and drop might be good too.

You can bulk drag & drop now. Just use the mouse to draw a rectangle around the task you want to select. Start to the left of the 8 dots in the gray area. The selected tasks will hilight in green.
Delete key doesn't work - you'd have to drag to trash.
I'm sure @Proximo has a movie of this somewhere...
