Using Contacts
Contact as a Waiting for
If you move a task to the Waiting for list, it will ask you to choose a contact from the Contacts list and associate it with the task. This person is now responsible for taking action on that task and it shows on the far left of the task in a green/brown type color.
Contact as a Tag
You can also associate a contact to a task as a tag. This allows for the task to remain in your Next list or as part of a project task while giving you the ability to add the contact. The difference is that these contacts are associated to the task but they are not responsible for taking action. You are still responsible for the task and therefore the task is not a "Waiting for" task. This is useful if you need to take action on a task but need to get someones feedback on something related to the task. When looking at your Next list, you can quickly filter by the contact tag to see all task associated with this person. Just before you go visit someone, you can see if you need any information from them by filtering all task associated with their contact name as a tag.
